Art Market Set-Up Crew
Approximately 180 artists will arrive to set-up the Art Market on Friday, May 20, and we need volunteers to help from 6-11 AM. Set-up assistants will help artists find their spaces, locate the artist hospitality center, and communicate as necessary with Artsplosure staff members. Set-up crew members may be asked to attend a pre-festival meeting.
During the festival, “sitters” occupy and look after exhibitors’ booths so that artists may take short breaks.
Festival Set-Up Crew
If you can work in the early morning hours, the production crew needs help with miscellaneous tasks Friday morning, 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Most of this work is of a physical nature (climbing ladders and trees, lifting and moving sound equipment, placing signage, etc).
Festival Breakdown Crew
We also need assistance breaking down Sunday night between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Again, most of this work is of a physical nature.
Large Scale Art Assistant
Help with the operation of Katena, our large visual art installation in City Plaza. This position requires a training session and a minimum time commitment of 6 hours.
Kidsplosure Activities Helper
Lots of enthusiastic volunteers who love working with children are needed to supervise fun craft activities on Fayetteville street.
Survey assistants roam the entire event interviewing attendees about our festival. If you’re not afraid to strike up a conversation with a stranger, why not ask a few questions for us?
We’ll put you where you can contribute the most. Duties can include hanging signs, running supplies or merchandise to various event sites, transporting equipment or artists, or filling in last-minute on any of the above jobs when we find gaps.
Starting in late April right up through the event, our office gets busy and we need support preparing materials and putting together mailings. If you have a few hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM during the week, we’d love to schedule you.
Student Art Exhibition Monitor
We need one volunteer per shift to “Monitor” the student art exhibition. This is a great job for someone who needs to be indoors.
Student Art Exhibition Set-up/Breakdown
Student Art Exhibition Set-up/Breakdown volunteers will assist in moving the student art from the gallery to a holding area Saturday late afternoon or assist in setting back up the Student Art in the Gallery Sunday morning.
